This is the only show to date that's made me laugh so hard I've cried, then turn around and make me actually cry in a single episode... Twice. Wooden Overcoats is a phenomenally produced and written show that juggles hilarity and nonsense with a grounded story and ever-progressing plot. Riveting, one might say...
Very funny and hilarious British comedy podcast. The script is well written and acted, it has often caused me to laugh out loud while out walking. Highly recommended
Witty, funny, a British sitcom with charm, laughs and a whole lot of dead bodies.
This is the quintessential British comedy drama in the podcasting space, as far as I'm concerned! The characters are rich, the dialogue is snappy and often bone-dry, and the production elements are polished to a fine sheen. The vocal performances walk the tight-rope of being fun and exaggerated without crossing into unbelievably. If you're on the fence about Wooden Overcoats, jump off and give it a try!
This is a shinning example of what audio drama can be. It's extremely well acted and tightly written.
A delightfully quirky, sometimes sweet story with wonderful character development and situations. And spot on production! Highly recommended.
Darkly funny, with great characters. Best narrator.
I have spent countless hours listening to this podcast. It’s genius. One of the best discoveries I’ve ever made and I can’t wait to see them live on the 30th!
Simply the best podcast. So hard to find anything to follow it
Brilliant writing, wonderful characterizations. I have never felt more for a mouse in any dramatic production. These people understand what goes into a quality podcast! Lively writing, energetic performances. I will follow them to the end!
I keep pitching this show to people as "old school Bryan Fuller," and honestly I stand by that. Wonderful and whimsical and extremely morbid. You WILL fall in love with Antigone.
Classic British sit com at it's very best. Formidable writing and acting and gallows humor for the morbidly amused. Excellent funeral parlour comedy!
A LOT of fun!
Probably my favourite podcast. Love the characters and the writing is superb.
Loved this one!
This is a such a lovely and heartwarming podcast.I laughed, and I cried. Would highly recommend.
Engaging audio, but very basic plot and characters. The story is also repetitive, sad British guy leads sad British life and sad things happen to him. Not original or very interesting.
Delightful characters, and dry British wit. Can't wait for the next season!
Absolutely charming. Unexpected things keep happening in Piffling Vale, and I am so glad that Madeline is keeping us informed.
A perfectly executed audio British comedy! It made me feel like listening to characters from Black Books, but in a funeral home instead of a book store. I laughed until I cried!
